Rumors: the upcoming Panasonic GM1 will be the smallest MFT camera to date

A new Panasonic GM1 MFT camera and a new 12-32mm MTF lens are rumored to be announcement in two weeks. Here are the basic GM1 specifications:

  • Image processing engine and sensor same as in the GX7
  • Built-in Wi-Fi
  • Touch LCD screen
  • The new 12-32mm lens will have size similar to the 14mm f/2.5
  • The camera will have a design similar to the GX7 and size similar to the LF1 models
  • The Panasonic GM1 camera with 12-32mm lens will cost around $600-$700
  • The official announcement will be on October 29th

Recently a Japanese website reported that Panasonic is considering a withdrawal from the low-cost compact camera market.
