It’s not real: there is simply no way Sony will make 3 different 35mm lenses out of 15 lenses.

I would never bet against Sony’s lens selection. Explain then why they have 5 lens squeezed between 16mm and 35mm (16/20/24/30/35) and no 55/85/105/135/etc? I wish it was a matter of logic because then, arguments would be useful. And I get the f/2.8 AND the f/1.4, but they really need a f/2 before some other focal length? But it may change I guess, it’s still 2 years from now, a lot can change.

Is Sony obsessed with the 35mm focal length or something?

    35mm f/2.8
    35mm f/1.4
    35mm f/2

It’s not as good as Fuji’s 2-year line up but it’s certainly much better than their 4-year E-mount APS-C one. Look, there is even a portrait lens and a macro*!

This is surely fake (someone’s wishful thinking).

  • spidersinmyurethra

Not sure what the deal is with Sony and slow zooms. I was under the impression that fast zooms would become better, smaller and easier to build considering the short back focus distance. Don’t get me wrong, primes are great, but consider an event shooter looking at the A7 — the lack of a native 24-70/2.8 would be a huge deterrent.

    • Neopulse

They already have a 24-70mm f/2.8. They just make lighter zooms in order to accommodate their new lightweight mirrorless which makes sense. If you wanna use the f2/8s use an adapter. They don’t want the FE-mount eating into their A-mount system.when the A99 is due for a refresh soon.

This is not an actual roadmap. This is actually a wishlist. Please correct your post to reflect that.

      I updated my post.

Too late! The Sony fanbois have already wet their pants, and were preparing they’re “Oh, Nikon are so gone!” replies

    • itznfb

If they are going to make a fake roadmap why wouldn’t they at least include a wide fast zoom? A 16-35mm f/2.8 and 70-200mm f/4 would sell me on this platform.

  • El Aura

Can somebody remind me by which letters the four lens line-ups of Sony can be identified. ZA used to to alpha (ie, DSLR) and E for NEX. Now FE is for fullframe NEX…

    Another Xitek product. Beware…

  • E.J. Peiker

This is NOT the Sony FE roadmap. Somebody took the roadmap which has no lens specifications at all below the 70-200 f/4G and added their their/wish list. Posting this under the title Update Sony FE Lens Roadmap is highly misleading.

    • http://photorumors.com/ PhotoRumors

I updated my post already. How do you know this roadmap is fake. Did you create it?

      • E.J. Peiker

It does not come from Sony and that is a verified fact. The graphic came from Sony but every lens below the 70-200 f/4G is unspecified on the Sony official roadmap and was placed on there and sent to SonyAlphaRumors which agrees that it is a “possible rumored” roadmap not the Sony FE Lens Roadmap.

        • http://photorumors.com/ PhotoRumors

You are probably right and like I said I already I mentioned this in the post after I published it, but this is not a “verified fact”.

  • Mike Knuth

How I like the Canon-, Nikon-, Fuji-loverboys who always knew there will never be a FF-Nex…they were true! It is names alpha7 and alpha7r…

Now the know exactly that this roadmap must be fake! However up to now this roadmap has become true. In May 2014 we will see if Sony will follow this “wishlist”…I bet it will – there is nothing unusual with this roadmap.

  • Mike Knuth

Zeiss already said it is working in some of the lenses in this roadmap, They did not verify the date of issue though. I suggest to be patient and stop this silly thread about a fake that possibly is no…

What happend to the Zeiss FE 24mm f/2.0 ZA .

    • http://photorumors.com/ PhotoRumors

I do not remember reporting that this lens is coming. Do you mean Zeiss Otus 24mm f/1.4?

      • Photoberger Håkon Berger

It clearly tell us FE 24 mm f.2,0 ZA on the roadmap

        • http://photorumors.com/ PhotoRumors

oh, from the roadmap – the last roadmap was for 2015, so I guess next year
