  • Aside from the f/0.95lens, these are all pretty inexpensive. Someone should act as a guinea pi–er, “lens tester” and try them out!

The 25mm sounds interestion for my nikon 1 cameras…but ill wait for the 25mm to come down in price

F8 F22? What happened to 11 and 16? Otus and Voightländer design rip off too.

Voigtlander ripped off plenty of designs in their day.

    yawn.. what about irix firefly?

Glad to see someone else making lenses for the Nikon 1 system. However, these don’t appear to be very useful for Nikon’s CX format (2.7x crop). For example, if I want a high quality 50mm lens to use on my V2, I simply put my Nikon 50mm 1.8 G on with the FT-1 adapter, and I have a very fast 135mm equivalent FOV in a very small package. Same is true with their 35mm f/1.7 lens. And their 28mm F2.8 provides no real advantage over the Nikon 1 10-30mm kit zoom, which is fully autofocus. The Meike 25mm f/0.95 looks interesting, but it is likely rather soft. Note that their ad says “when set small aperture the image more sharp, especiall when F8”. Hmmm…

It is also odd how they are advertising these lenses:
“Meike MK-N-50-2.0 50mm f 2.0 Large Aperture Manual Focus lens APS-C For Nikon 1 mount mirrorless camera Nikon V1 J1”
Haven’t they heard that Nikon has moved along in this system and they now have a V2 and J5? And why can’t they hire someone to spell “precion maching” correctly? Finally, I hesitate to think what “outstanding hand feeling” means…

“…I hesitate to think what “outstanding hand feeling” means…”

Perhaps they accidentally made a personally statement…

Being half-Chinese, I still feel embarassed that Chinese companies never take the trouble to let a native English speaker proof-read their publications…

Given this is a Hong Kong mob it’s even less excusable… oh well I can live with mangled English, I just think of it as payback for my atrocious Japanese and even worse Cantonese I’ve inflicted on many people in Japan and Hong Kong

  • TinusVerdino

adjustable ring of aperture 1200 experience points.

i believe they save up every penny to make them affordable, including the money of hiring a proper translator.
