  • I bought a canon selphie for my quick prints. I decided against the current model because the resolution was poor. Will this be enough to take a second look?

The consumables cost so much less on the Selphy and the prints are larger. The new Instax printer will still be credit card sized.

254 dpi vs 320 dpi. Assuming the printer uses the standard and not the mini format, that’s 62 x 99 mm image at 10 dpmm vs 12.6 dpmm = 0.61 mp image for old film to 0.97mp for new film. Maybe noticeable, but not quite 4k resolution yet. These w-i-d-e format prints are still pretty tiny prints.

it was enough for the size of the prints it delivered.
I didn’t like the colors it produced, but I highly doubt fuji was thinking of gearheads and quality snobs when making the product.

      • I imagine that gearheads and quality snobs would calibrate their files for the printer!

And spend about $300 on instax paper to get the print to look just mhe

          • I’ll give you the last word here because I don’t feel like going down a Rabbit Hole but here’s the last thing I’ll say. Price is not a concern of quality snobs and Instax is film, not paper, which explains the cost.

            Ok i’ll claim it :p

  • Spy Black

That is the weirdest-looking printer I’ve ever seen. It looks like an opened box on it’s side.
