Samsung NX camera concept (Micro Four Thirds competition)

The E-P1 camera may be the first Micro Four Thirds camera from Olympus, but there will be competition from other brands which should lead to better products. Here is a concept for Samsung NX which is similar to Micro Four Thirds but using a larger APS-C sensor:

The Samsung NX system is NOT based on Micro 4/3rds. It’s a completely different system that will use an APS-C sized sensor.

Isn’t the Panasonic G1 the first m4/3 camera?

What kind of post is this supposed to be now? When k-rumors.com posted this they clearly labelled it “probably [...] only a user generated NX camera concept”. 43rumors.com copied it, along with the warning: “Beware this is probably a fake concept render of the first Samsung NX camera”. And now you describe it, half a day later, as “a concept for Samsung NX”? Yeah, sure it’s a concept, only it is not BY Samsung, right?

I don’t think at all your wording is accidentally fuzzy. Once more you do your best to START rumors, not REPORT on them, in a pathetic attempt to create traffic and links to your site.

I’m sorry, but I’m going to stop reading your sites now. Just carry on like this, pretty soon you’ll have 100% approval ratings – because all people who like to be taken seriously will be gone.

Do you understand the concept of the word “concept”? Yes, I described it correctly as a concept for Samsung NX, I did not say BY Samsung…
Bye bye! I am really tired of people complaining for no reason.

Thanks – when I screw up, I admit it. I don’t know why every negative commenter always starts referring to my traffic – I guess the problem is not really with my content, but with my traffic…

Hate to sound like an ass, but to an extend I do agree with “bye bye”.

“Here is a concept for Samsung NX most likely generated by user which is similar to Micro Four Thirds but using a larger APS-C sensor:” That would make more accurate description of the source, which is what this site is for right?

Keep up the great work with Nikon/Photo rumors, I enjoy reading them on daily basis.

I have a positive view on this, but creating a whole new system is another story. Hope they can adapt one of the existing system (ie m4/3 or K mount or canikon mount – very unlikely),creating a new system from ground up from a 3rd party manufacturer sounds ridiculous to me.

exe: there is a big difference between your post and the one from bye-bye. When I give my opinion, I get feedback that I should only report rumors and let the reader decide. When I don’t give my opinion (like in this case), I am being accused of starting rumors – do you understand my point? I am thinking of removing the comments all together on all 3 blogs – this is getting out of control.

There’s a neat overlay of the NX vs. a Pentax dslr to show the size differences.

And they’re supposed to take video…is that touch screen technology on the last image?

If they keep the Pentax mount, then these camera will be a joy to use, as they’re rumored to be using a CMOS sensor.
