how many do you count then, and what camera does that amount belong to?

So is this going to be a upgrade from the A700 ?

This is definitely fake. If anything, these specs would belong to a a950.

It is illogical what you say, from 24 Mpix to 16 is a step backwards. If they wold release a 16 Mpix FF, it’s more likely to an Alpha 800 (or something like that) then 950…

I dont agree, the difference in specs: Exmor R FF (better ISO), larger LCD, higher fps, new AF (if true)
Only the pop-up flash and 100% VF I dont believe can exist in a FF camera this size. But I am no technical engineer. And since it has a pop-up flash, it might be a ‘lower end’ camera, just not priced below A850/A900 unless they want the A900 to kick the bucket for real

I doubt Sony would ever make FF camera with less than 20MPx. It would be unneeded step backwards.

And… adding Exmor R with reduced resolution?! It’d be kinda… uber-wierd… unless someone hunts for totally noiseless camera.

I don’t know if it is reliable to go by “the look of the jpeg artifacts” anymore but the texture of the camera body is a lot smoother looking than the surrounding areas of “a800″ and “SONY”… it looks photoshop’ed to me.

If this is a fake someone went to a lot of trouble to create it. There are distinct similarities to the A700 body and some to the A850/900 – but it is not either of those. Counting the AF points doesn’t mean anything since this is probably a pre-production prototype – IF it is real. Logic dictates that the A700 is overdue for an update so something like this makes a certain amount of sense. I’m with “Anonymous” – lets keep our fingers crossed, pray hard and make offerings to the camera gods.

It is a fake, but the design is good to a a700 APS-C substitute…

That is not a FF pentaprism. FF is also not capable of 1/500 sync. This is a fake and it smells a mile away.

This is probably to be a A700 replacement; forget the FF sensor, replace the term “FF” with “APS-C” and voila …

Fake – even number 800 appears to be different than in a850 by the means of font-weight…. I could make more realistic image… duh…

I say fake too. Although, a 16 mp D4/D800 would be a dream. The perfect compromise between high mp and large file size. DX lenses could still be used at a 7 mp resolution, which in a pinch, would be pretty good.
