Olympus to release new cameras in February

The official Olympus press release will be on February 2nd, 2010 (Nikon will have a press conference on February 3rd, Canon on February 9th and Panasonic somewhere around that time too).

The new Olympus models are:

SP 600 and SP 800. The SP800 will have a 30x zoom and li-ion battery. It will look a lot like the Nikon P90 (see current Olympus SP series here).

Olympus is also announcing two new “Tough” models: Stylus Tough-6020 (replacement of the previous 6000 model) and Stylus Tough-8010 (replacement of the previous 8000 model). They will have HD-movie mode and SD card support. The 8010 will come with 5x zoom. Those models should look exactly like the current Stylus Tough models.

Olympus will also announce many new accessories for these cameras: floating strap, silicone case, etc.
