    Modified Sony cameras were used to film the movie “Avatar”. So that might have made Sony see the potential of creating their own line. I’m not a big fan of those stupid 3D glasses though. They need to fix that problem first.

      James Cameron designed and built him own camera (2) for Avatar.
      Cameron showed the design to Sony and it didn´t show interest for it.

    Yes he created his own cameras but he took Sony’s and heavily modified them to suit his needs.
