Why the iPad doesn’t have a built-in camera?

Am interesting rumor from the ImagingInsider:

"...it originally was supposed to have one… at least that’s what we were told. But, when Kodak filed a complaint against Apple earlier this year for patent infringement the iPad design changed..."

Here is a shot from the iPad enclosure and you can clearly see that there is space for a built-in camera (source):

Let’s hope they will comment on all devices that don’t have a built in camera from now on.

Well, I was using “un-” in the old Germanic sense, which is to say “un-”camera as in the form of a camera, but not a camera. The rumor is appropriate because it implies something about photography or at least video. But its very much un-photo.

Your comment is rather more snarky, lol.

Steve Jobs probably realized the Mac’s iPads are bloodied up with shameful design and in order not to flush more money down the toilet, he personally jacked all the cameras to cut losses.

I would rather have a used netbook and a used Kindle than the brand new Macs ipad.

Given Apple’s track record, they’re probably just holding it back for their 2nd version

apple ipad = fail in every way possible.

seriously i checked out the kindle and it is by far easier to read than a iphone quality screen, the kindle actually looks like text on paper and well the iphone is glowingly eye piercing under regular subway conditions… either that or too dull…

i still love my iphone. :)
