Update: this was a plain lie and a desperate move to attract traffic/publicity – as a result all references to the source were removed. Nothing to see here people, let’s move on.
Check the latest update from xxx on the full frame AF rangefinder (note that he started a new blog on this topic). I am starting to smell a rat. Yes, it is fine to make a joke on April 1st, but to start “lying” few days in advance is lame. If I am wrong and there is really a new full frame rangefinder with AF, I will publicly apologize to xxx, otherwise those posts and links to his site will be deleted (and I suggest everyone who has written online on this topic to do the same).

A new Rangefinder with auto focus from canon?!? And giving updates about it while he’s supposedly under a Non-Disclosure Agreement? YEAH RIGHT!.
He could have at least made it more believable and said it was a Nikon
If one looks at the title of his blog articles – you can see that it is titled AF RF.
One would normally assume this meant auto focus range finder.
But given the date – one can more than likely assume it stands for APRIL FOOLS Range Finder.
A bloody waste of time and really annoying to do it many days before.
” The camera uses a system which the manufacturers call Luminance Optimized Optical Framelines”
Otherwise known as LOOF?
Backwards: “FOOL”?
Good point
Someone doesn’t understand the concept of april fools day, and that someone is ofcourse a canon user.
Boooring.
AF (as in April Fools) and the LOOF system makes it for me. We take ourselves too seriously…
