I hope Zeiss makes a fast normal pancake for the E-mount.

Professional meaning full control =convenience for people with knowledge of shooting.

    Professional meaning too dial
with high end feature like, built in sensor image stability system with in-lens focus motor support?

not too anxious about video. it’ll be nice to have a full extra video capture but
    shooting has to be enjoyable.

Sony pls do this right this time.

sony is as corporation evil, but except visual design and hotshoe (could as well invent new then this minolta trash) they did everything right with alpha cameras, especially a850.

Well… I actually like Minolta hotshoe – it’s easier, faster, and more reliable than standard one. Especially when it comes to switching flashes fast or often. But well… I guess it’s a matter of taste.

If NEX 7 is real, is that means Sony is going to say good bye to Alpha DSLR or just let FF to survive? That’s not the first time that Sony dump something she created or put effort. We won’t be surprised if this day happened.

Let me have a wilder guess. A slim camera with Full HD is not the greatest impact but a FF Evil should drive the people all over the world crazy. I hope it will come year after.

By the way, I feel pathetic to Samsung. She claimed mirrorless camera should occupy the market for over 45% but now she is shaded away since she postponed a year to enter the market.

a FF evil wont happen for a long time im guessing, EVF tech isint nearly there and no many people , especially pros who would care about FF want to use a horrible EVF or lcd screen. I doubt EVIL’s will ever replace proffesional SLR’s and as such i seriously doubt a FF evil camera any time soon.

Sony representative told that NEX series is made aside from Alpha – it has separate factory, separate founds, and so on. Though closely cooperating with Alpha team – it’s not that NEX was made by the cost of Alpha.
Sony is not small company like Olympus and doesn’t have to choose whatever they want to develop Alpha or NEX.

FF isn’t best solution for masses – and that’s where you earn money. Production of FF sensor is about twice as expensive as APS-C sensor, you need bigger lenses, your depth of field is more shallow… people not always like this three points. Experienced photographers – sure, but masses? never.

And an integrated EVF, in order to reduce the rear screen to its only basic dimensions and functions ?

Does anyone have measurements of the Sony E mount? I want to know circumference, flange depth, and any other specs possible… Who could I talk to with sony about this?

Just simply go http://www.imaging-resource.com and you should find out the review that has mentioned the spec of the flange distance is 18mm, swallower than m4/3.
But the mount diameter is not mentioned which should be smaller than alpha mount.
Or you may try to measure it by using the product shot which you can simulate the width of the body and then you should find out the real diameter of the lens mount.
