As is the AP-50, which was just a mock-up and was never sold to anyone. I guess some intern just copied some or other list.

from pentax history it appears to be more likely a vaporware.

maybe it is too big ball for them now, but when they will wait until end of the year to release it, it will be too late.
Nobody will buy it when canon will have 28Mpix camera and all other MF manufacturers will start offering sub 10k solutions.

No kidding, vaporware? “WHEN they will wait until end of the year”?
The camera can be ordered, in Japan. Initial launch date was 20th May, but due to unexpectedly high demand (i.e. people ordering it) it was postponed to June 11. That’s not “end of the year”, btw. And certainly isn’t “nobody will buy it”.
I expect a 40MP medium format digital camera to crush the (imaginary) 28MP Canon, image quality wise.

I expect a 28MP MF digital to outperform a 28MP small format digital camera.

Im quite sure people are lining up to buy it and the camera is very real, also a 28mp dslr and a 40mp MF system are two different things for different uses.

Great: the less the people are interested the more the chance photographers like me will be able to really grab it. I would like to go back to China just for a P645D, but they do not take orders anymore since the over-booking.
