Focusnumerique reported on twitter that Pentax 645D will be coming to Europe with a price tag of 10,000 EUR. This is not really a surprise since the 645D was listed on Pentax UK website and showed up on a Polish online store few weeks ago. There are still no plans to introduce the medium format camera to the US.

Amazon Japan is already selling the Pentax 645D - shipping in 2-3 weeks.

Regardless of it not coming here via Pentax Imaging (US) you can bet there will be plenty of grey orders whenever B&H and Adorama finally get on board. I have to wonder why they haven’t already, they’re loosing potential sales every day as folks purchase overseas rather than waiting.

that doesn’t stop them from offering big lenses that they almost never have in stock. Many other items too. Then there’s the special order items. I don’t think supply is a valid reason.

seems like about £3000 than i expected to pay. If so I’ll probably wait for Nikon D4 or the next top rez DSLR from them.

      It’s not a wide, it’s about a normal.

      55mm x 1.3 crop factor = 71.5 mm
