In the end of their post, egami.blog.so-net suppose that this lens will be introduced at CP+ (9-12 February 2011) and available in March 2011.

This would be a VERY practical walk-around lens for the wide shooter. My Sigma 10-20 is often too specialized, so I don’t take it with me. Of course, there’s also a big difference between 10 and 112 mm. But if I want to go for dramatic effect, I’ll take the Samyang 8mm fish anyway.

A real aov of 18-50.. Cool! I guess it’s a lens that reporters ( PJs ) might like a lot… Let’s hope it’s well corrected, given the relatively slow aperture and the reduced zoom ratio (3x) – Other brands should think of this.

If I were a reporter or a PJ I’d want something better than a 50mm f/6.75 equivalent lens… doubt many would use a Pentax for that sort of a job either.

This is a P&S lens for tourists who need the wides mainly but with a bit of zoom so they don’t need to walk over to their kids to take their photo.
