Samyang inquired about a fast 135mm and tilt-shift lenses

Two months ago Samyang asked on their Facebook page "Which new Samyang lenses, you like to see in Samyang family" and then commented about a fast 135mm or a tilt-shift lens:

samyang 135mm and tilt shift lens Samyang inquired about a fast 135mm and tilt shift lensesI personally would be interested in a cheap tilt-shift lens solution - there is no need for autofocus and if Samyang can come up with an acceptable IQ, this could be an interesting alternative to the $2000 tilt-shift lenses from Nikon and will probably be available for other mounts as well.

Samyang is soo lovable. I’d really be interested in both a 135mm speeder and a tilt-shift — tilt-shift especially!!

135/1.8 (manufacturers already have f2 versions) and a tilt-shift lens with 24mm, or wider focal would be sooooo nice!!

      Just a heads-up: Sony/Zeiss manufactures an f/1.8 135mm lens.

Yes, it does. I knew that. But I think that the most of the buyers are from Nikon or Canon camp… and they only have f2-versions.

And its always easier to focus with brighter lens.

Unless the DOF becomes so thin that the slightest focus error is impossible to prevent.

Do people really think there’s a meaningful DOF difference between f/ 1.8 and f/ 2? Because there isn’t.

Who makes tilt shift lenses with AF anyway?

Also there are other companies that make cheap tilt-shift lenses. Look up Arax tilt shift lenses…

I thought Arax Tilt-shifts can only tilt or shift not both at the same time? I want a affordable lens that can do both
