Two fingers air concept camera

Two fingers air concept camera Two fingers air concept camera

This two fingers air camera is designed by Yeon Su Kim. The concept camera is operated by your fingers gestures. The images/videos are transferred to your smartphone via Bluetooth:

"If you want to click pictures, wear the camera band on your thumb and the shutter button on your forefinger and gesture to click a pic. To take videos, simply curve your fingers to mimic a video camera grip and shoot. The tension from the finger movement triggers the shutter button to operate."

/* insert random joke about voyeurs, fingers, and sex here. */

What are the practical uses of this other than being discreet about taking photos? Maybe as part of undercover work?

Maybe if my career was a mime and I wanted to mimic tourists, but still take pictures of them?

You can duct tape a cheap “spy” camera to your hand right now. You can duct tape it to your forehead if you want.

Personally, I think it’s incredibly innovative. If the potential images are of good cell Phome quality, I can see this being great fun at amusement parks, out at a party or club, etc. much quicker and more convenient than whipping out the cell phone, turning on the app and then framing the shot!

It sucks — and is a terrible idea because of focus and framing issues.

99% of shots will be the equivalents of shots made by holding your camera in a general direction without seeing how things line up or what its focusing on.

Even previously released Lytro thing looks like a masterpiece of design and engineering. The idea of this ‘two fingers camera’ is too stupid to find its realization, unless it was developed especially for voyeur-aimed teenagers. Is that a good way to find a date? Bullshit.

In that case, they should make it to strap to your shoe and have LED lights.

Itd be a hit seller in Japan.

      Solar powered — duh.

You will need lots of ambient light to see any image made by that thing.

    What a joke…

Cameras are about optics and not about usability. What will we have there? f1.4 high diffractive optics with a avsolutely ISO 125000 noiseless square-nanometer hires 36MP ultraCMOS chip?

How would you aim this thing? I think this is yet another instance of imaginative designers who just don’t know enough about what they’re designing to avoid f*cking the whole thing up completely.

A camera you can’t aim? That exists in the oily spaces near the inside of your hand, where things are handled that would touch the lens? Has he even USED a camera before? No, he’s just a knucklehead with Adobe Illustrator and a boner for making things tiny, shiny, and without interfaces or even the remotest idea of why cameras currently exist as boxes or rectangles.

Haha, the brilliant part is that his own images show the camera taking pictures of the photographer’s own fingers!
