Some key points from a recent Eprice interview with Panasonic representatives:
- The Panasonic Lumix LX line (LX5) will continue to exist independent of the Lumix G product line (the Panasonic LX 6 is expected to have a new 1 inch sensor).
- Contradicting report that the upcoming 12-35mm and 35-100mm Lumix X lenses will not have power zoom. Previous reports indicated the new Lumix X lenses will be "motorized" with POWER O.I.S. The two new lenses will not have constant f/2.0 aperture in order to keep the size small.
- Panasonic may consider adding rotating LCD screen to future GX and GF models.

WOW! This hs been online here for nearly an entire day and NO comments so far!
Do we really NOT care for the Lumix LX stuff at all?
Poor old Panasonic. Lets give it a teddy bear for Christmas to cheer it up.
F2.0 on the upcoming 12-35mm and 35-100mm have never been mentioned by Panasonic and the images show they are too small for F2.0 and they certainly don’t look motorized. I’ve never understood where those rumors came from.
1-inch sensor, that’s the same size as the Nikon1.
I wonder if the Panasonic sensor can compete with Nikon’s, except for ISO, it seems like Nikon beat even the m4/3 sensors.
But even if it doesn’t achieve the same quality, depending on the price it can be very competitive and let’s not forget that there is also Fuji X10 which has an excellent lens (f/2~f/2.8 4x zoom 28-112mm).
Very excite for Compact. If real.
