Similar to the Nikon D800 and D800E, the Pentax K-5 IIs DSLR camera will be identical to the K-5 II, but without the anti-aliasing (AA) filter.

    First! I want to say:
K5 IIs better have enough resolution to support the lack of an AA filter. One of the reasons it works so well on D800e is that the resolution is so high it’s quite difficult to get aliasing.

    Good luck to them.

The k-5 has the same resolution as the d800E in crop mode
      36mp / 2.25 = 16mp

What you said doesn’t make much sense to me. The D800E would have to contend with fibers in cloth in terms of detail. I think both have to basically deal with it in similar ways, with slightly different subjects.

    I bet it’s a fake :)

Awww, look at the Q10, Kawaiii!. It’s like a real camera, but with a sensor that belongs on a mass-market compact.

  • David

I wonder why they make cameras that look like portable radios.

  • Phil

I’m no oil painting, nor is my son. But I have to say that Pentax make the ugliest cameras on the planet.

  • AnnoyingOrange

So this is a “pentax…” I never knew this existed.

  • Ed

K5II (Super) without the anti-alliasing filter makes sense. The only thing I am waiting for pentax to announce is a weather sealed wide angle lens. If that happens I may buy myself a pentax again. :D

The brown Q10 look quite good while the red one look like a toy.
I guess it is a bit like with clothes what impression one want to make!

  • David

Ignorance of some makes it easier for others to shine… Appears to me that many of you have never seen the Q in reality and know nothing about design… otherwise you’d be singing this song in the Sony DSLR camp :) (and Marc Newson website:)

  • Gex

Why would anyone buy a Q10 with a cheap compact camera sized sensor? Why not go with a EPM-1?
