I must be the only person who thinks Zeiss could’ve put a nicer focus ring on the 55 1.4 and a cover over the distance scale to keep the dust out.

      Prototypes, hoss.

I hope so, cause otherwise Zeiss suddenly will jump from “one of best designed lenses on the market” to “one of ugliest lenses on the market”. I hope they won’t loose the bare metal filter ring.

I would also think they are prototypes. They are very reminiscent of their top of the line Master Prime cine lenses so maybe they want to go for that look who knows.

Wow 1st time I see the new Voigtlander 50mm f1.5 mentioned anywhere!

Want … you think less than $1,000??? Lol ;-)

  • Nobody Special

Boy, those Zeiss lenses look BIG – I wonder how they’ll balance on a Sony body???

Those are for DSLR, not NEX.

Unless these good folks at Cosina bring us an affordable digital Voigtlander or Ikon body this stuff is all part of a dead-end system. I am not putting these on my Leica(s), they will not fit the Nikons and M4/3 with an adapter is just meh… Where’s my Ikomatic-D body already?
