Fuji to cut compact camera line by 50%, plans to announce more mirrorless system cameras this year

AP reported that Fujifilm will be cutting their compact camera line by 50% and is planing to launch more mirrorless system cameras this fiscal year (probably a smaller, entry level X version). The information was given by Hiroshi Tanaka, general manager of Fuji's Optical Device and Electronic Imaging Products Division in a recent interview with Nikkei newspaper.
