Tamron also has a teaser for two new lenses

Tamron lens teaser 2016 CP show
Just like Sigma, Tamron also has posted a teaser on their website and Facebook page for two new lenses that will be announced for the CP+ show in Japan on February 22nd. Last year Tamron announced two new prime lenses (45mm and 35mm). My guess is that the new lenses will be from the same line - there is already a patent for a Tamron SP 85mm f/1.4 Di VC USD lens.

    so their already a 35 an a 45. Probably a 85. And a 24?

  • 105 or 135 primes would be nice, hoping for one of those.

i hope that itt will be a fast zoom lens like the sigma series.. 35-80 f2 for example 🙂

not possible. no one has made a lens more than 2x focal range that was stellar. very good, yes, but not stellar. notice all the top zoom performers are very short focal range.

LMAO, love reading posts by idiots like this who think stuff can not be possible in the technology world, especially when they have no clue what they are talking about and no experience in designing such tech.. Some people are so ignorant and narrow minded it’s embarrassing that they are allowed to vocalise their opinions.

dipshit. show me a stellar 2x lens thats the same level as a prime? not piss off little girl before I have to spank you

Well the canon 24-70 2.8 II is one hell of a lens.
I would assume that a 35-80 f2.8 would be doable (f2 would make it massive though)

If they announce an 85 f/1.4 with the same IQ as the latest ones, and with VC…. I will be all over it. Finally a challenger to the $1700 Canikons (and Sonys), but for undoubtedly much less $$$.

and nikon. though I dont think its possible to do a 1.4 with VC. I may be wrong but im going to guess its a 1.8 with VC. and if its sharp at 1.8 and at $500, im jumping in.

imo they have the best stabilizer mechanism in the business.
