Sony to announce a new RX10 V super-zoom camera next week


Sony will announce a new RX10 super-zoom camera next week (July 9th). The new model will be a replacement for the Sony CyberShot RX10 IV that was announced back in 2017:

Here is what to expect from the new Sony RX10 V super-zoom camera:

  • Zeiss 24-600mm f/2.4-4 25x optical zoom lens
  • 20.1MP stacked 1-inch Exmor RS sensor
  • Same overall bridge camera form factor, build quality, EVF, and tilting screen
  • New image processor (likely BIONZ XR or similar)
  • NP-FZ100 battery
  • Modern connectivity (USB-C charging/port and updated Wi-Fi/Bluetooth)
  • Better overall performance
  • Price in the $1,899–$1,999 range
