Update on yesterday’s post: today Ricoh Japan announced a new GXR unit with 16MP APS-C CMOS sensor and 24-85mm lens. The unit will be available in early 2012. No further details were provided.

Yesterday B&H started taking pre-orders for the new Ricoh GXR A12 unit for Leica M mount lenses. This is a good indication that a shipment is on its way to the store (B&H won’t start taking pre-orders otherwise). Some more pictures of the unit can be seen over at LeicaRumors.
