    Seriously though, I don’t see any weather sealing on this camera so I think dust and moisture could be a problem, but I’m no nerd so I could be wrong. :)

    Finally, so many other devices can be run with open source software, one day consumers will have that freedom with dslr’s. I would like to see this turn into a kit body setup like the new RedOne video cams with the added bonus of fully customizable software… this is great geek news!

    For all you other nerds out there, here’s a little more info on the Frankencamera. It has parts from a Nokia cellphone and runs on Linux, of course.

    I love open source. It is about time I could use software ND and grads in camera (adjusting ISO at pixel level, combining exposures), and please get rid of the silly mechanical shutter.
    3D RAW files (as in time being the 3rd dimension) would be the most welcome.

    It would be nice if you could buy the camera and decide after that which lens mount you want to use, or use few of them,
