Olympus E-P3, E-PL3 and the new “mini” to be announced on June 30th, 2011

This is just an update to a previous post on the new E-P3, E-PL3 and the new mini-Olympus: digicame-info received some new information that the three cameras will be announced on June 30th instead of June 3, 2011. Olympus probably delayed the announcement because Sony will present their new cameras on June 3rd.

Nanoha macro lens prototype with 5x magnification for Micro Four Thirds

The Japanese company Yasuhara showed a prototype of a new Nanoha macro lens for Micro Four Thirds and Sony NEX cameras. The lens can provide 5 times magnification (regular macro lenses provide 1:1 magnification). Price is expected to be around ¥50,000 (aprox. $600). A new SLR Magic/Noktor 50mm f/0.95 lens with E-mount will be coming soon. Few weeks ago SLR Magic took over Noktor and will continue the f/0.95 product line. Future lenses will have a new appearance and will be made in Japan.

Olympus losing market share, Sony reports worst loss in 16 years
