FINALLY, everything I ever wanted in a camera: “Pfft operating mode of the species oat bran 4″

I’ve been stuck on oat bran 3 for years. This will be a quantum leap in technology!

I’ve been eating oat bran all these years not realizing it was a living sentient species. I guess I’m not a vegetarian after all.

So, what you guy think between this or P7100 or G12.

Well, I’d pick the G12 over the P7100 – but wait to hear some hands on reviews for this before deciding anything.

I am totally in love with this camera! I was thinking about getting the Canon G12 to go along with my DSLR but I am now certainly going to buy this!

“Hisuguramu” probably means histogram. I’m dying to know what “species oat bran” is; maybe the next leak will clarify it. :-)

As usual, Fuji is somewhere behind the 8 ball. Where’s the articulated screen? Where’s the provision for an EVF? Oh!!! There’s an optical zoom finder????? Is here a stone axe in he box with the camera????

Why does a VF have to be EVF nowadays ? Where are the huge benefits, if you turn something mechanical or optical into something electronic ? ? Fly and drive and see and all senses by wire ? ? ? God damn it ! ! ! The day will come when diapers will have a battery operated and electronically managed indication system for bad smell.

The benefit is you can see when in bright light. I have yet to see a LCD display that was useable outdoors in bright light. It is one of the limitations of P&S cameras.

I hope it quickly gets to 500 bucks or so. or pushes the xz-1 and others to 350 . I will be happy with either scenario. It looks amazing though.I just hope Fuji surprises us with the price. Come on make it 550. just 50 more than the P7100 so that it is somewhat of a no-brainer (f2.0 vs f2.8 anyday)

Be nice to know if the depth is front of lens to back of viewfinder eye cup, or front of lens to screen. If it’s to the viewfinder, that’ll be fine and still pocketable, if it’s the screen … it’ll be interesting to see the size comparisons against the XZ-1, NX200, and E-P3/GF3 (with the new power zoom).

Nikon, Canon, Sony… You have failed us. Thank you Fuji for being the first to bring a worthwhile compact camera to market. I’m buying Fuji Stocks.
