Update: Panasonic GX1 to be announced on October 28th

panasonic gx1 announcement Update: Panasonic GX1 to be announced on October 28thThere was some confusion in my previous post on the release date of the new Panasonic GX1. I received some new information and it seems that a new Panasonic camera will be announced on October 28th, 2011 (Panasonic likes to make announcements on Friday for some reason).

I wished that Panasonic could leak images just like Sony did, weeks before! hahaha… So far just some specs leaked, I want more! It’s not so much fun when there is no leak… hehe…

For Panny “announced” on Oct 28th means “generally available” by May 2012.

This model desperately needs a built-in viewfinder. Its not that i don’t like the GF1 option but the ergonomics are less than ideal and it also robs the hotshoe from accepting an external flash or external microphone. I wonder if anyone will ever release a pop-up viewfinder?
