It was hard to get/find the first time too.

DO people still use DX cameras? I thought they disappeared along with film cameras:)

    • Joe

Nope, they’re still here, just like people who think they’re clever…

the Delay is only for the Canon Version! The Nikon Version is coming 07.04.2012

makes sense. every product from Canon themselves is delayed, after all.
      It proves authenticity! :)

Really ? Do you have a source for this ? I’m suspicious.

I hope it doesn’t have a color fringing weakness like other Tokina super wides.

Makes me glad I decided not to wait and got a great deal on a used version I.

Interestingly, though, just one day after this post, Kenko Japan annouced availibilty for the new 11-16 for April 7th in Japan.
    See: http://www.kenko-tokina.co.jp/notice/tokina_at-x_116_pro_dx4647.html

Actually it says, that the product is delayed for one day (originally scheduled April 6th). But I wouldn’t assume that it still takes another 5 months to get to the rest of teh world…

    Cheers,

    Timo
