In the next 48 hours Panasonic will announce their latest DMC-GX8 Micro Four Thirds mirrorless camera (the GX7 is already discontinued). Here are the expected specifications:

  • 20 MP sensor
  • New dual IS (image stabilization)
  • Tiltable 2.36 million dots organic EL EVF
  • Dust and splash proof
  • Magnesium alloy body
  • 4K video
  • Tiltable 1.04 million dots organic EL screen
  • Wi-Fi , NFC, QR code connection (just like the Leica Q)
  • Continuous shooting: 8 fps with AF tracking
  • Available in black and silver

The big upgrade seems to be the new 20MP sensor. The manufacturer is not know yet, but Sony recently released a new 20MP sensor for MFT:
