Sony and Canon attempt to purchase Pentax?
Canon and Sony may have tried to purchase Pentax at some point. Hoya’s CEO has indicated in the past that Pentax is for sell. Then there were some statements about a “deeper relationship” with Samsung. It is possible that at some point JVC attempted to buy Pentax - both companies denied it a month later. I am not surprise that different companies are taking their chance at purchasing Pentax. Please note that at this point this is just a rumor.
