Pentax K-5 firmware v1.02 is unofficially available

The firmware is available on this site: https://network.pentax.eu. You have to be a registered user in order to download the software. Since there are no release notes, it is unclear what exactly is fixed with this firmware update (maybe they fixed the sensor issue, that made Amazon.de halt the selling of the K-5).

Fuji announcements at CES 2011

Fuji will announce several new EXR cameras, including a HS-10 replacement with a new 16 MP EXR BSI CMOS sensor. The camera will have the same lens and faster write speeds. There will also be two new cameras to replace the F300 EXR (also with the 16 MP EXR BSI CMOS sensor). Samsung also has a full HD camcorder for CES 2011 (HMX-Q10)

Amazon.de stopped selling Pentax K-5 cameras

Amazon.de has stopped selling Pentax K-5 cameras, probably because of a high return rate from customers due to the K-5 sensor issue. Third parties are still selling Pentax K-5 cameras on Amazon.de.
