The most interesting patent applications this week come from Canon: 6.7mm f/1.4, 3.6mm f/1.2 and 12mm f/1.2 lenses.
Canon also filed patents for a 24-70mm f/2.8 IS and 24-80mm f/2.8 IS lenses (full frame).
Other Canon patents for 14mm f/2.8, 24mm f/2.8 and 35mm f/1.4 lenses.
Pentax filed patents for 15-45mm f/2.8-3.5 (1/1.7" sensor), 18-70mm f/4-6 (APS-C), 16-70mm f/4 (APS-C) and 25-350mm f/3.5-6 (APS-C) lenses.
Sony filed a patent for a 24-135mm f/3.5-4 lens designed for APS-C cameras (36-202mm equivalent). Sony also filed a patent for the already announced 28-70mm f/4 OSS full frame mirrorless lens.
Olympus filed a patent for improved phase detection AF.
