→ Olympus has a patent (201821951A) for a 12mm f/1.2 lens - this will be a nice addition to the other three Olympus f/1.2 Pro MFT lenses.


→ The next patent (2018-45184A) is for the Hasselblad XCD 30mm f/3.5 medium format lens and it was filed by the Japanese company Nittoh (via hi-lows-note).


→ Tamron has a patent (201854708A) for a star-shaped lens iris/aperture.


→ Panasonic has a patent (P2018-14740A) for of multi-PD/pixel sensor for on-sensor HDR and PDAF.


→ Canon has a patent (US20180012061) for adding fingerprint ID to their cameras and lenses (via CanonRumors).


→ Canon has a patent application (20170295307) for an ND filter adapter for mirrorless cameras (via CanonNews).


 
 
→ Canon has a patent (2018-054913) for a new tilting screen designed for EOS-M mirrorless cameras (via CanonNews).
