After the initial delay, the Panasonic GH6 camera will be announced on February 21 - you can see the official countdown on Panasonic's website. Here are the rumored GH6 specifications:
- New Micro Four Thirds sensor (25MP?)
- Updated Venus Engine Image Processor
- 5.7K 60p video, 10-bit sampling
- DCI 4K 10-bit 4:2:2, unlimited recording
- UHD 4K 120p with 10-bit HFR
- Price: approximately $2500
It also looks like Panasonic has been dropping easter eggs in their latest weekly video streams:
"Looks like Lumix is putting easter eggs in their weekly streams. The last two weeks of streams on YouTube have had binary code "hidden" in the opening screen. One for a wiki page about easter eggs, and a link to a countdown (shop.panasonic.com/lumix/countdown). While I was watching the stream last week on resolutions I noticed that when they were talking about high res vs normal res stills, the lightroom window had image resolutions that don't match any available resolutions on my G9 or S5: 5776x4336 and 11552x8672" (thanks Billy)
