Nikon is rumored to announce a new Nikkor Z 800mm f/6.3 VR PF S lens tomorrow. Here is what to expect:
- Official announcement: April 6th
- Expected to start shipping in May
- A pro-level lens with a “spectacular” performance
- Optically as good as the Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 800mm f/5.6E FL ED VR lens for F-mount
- Price: around $6,000/£6,000 based on a leak from China (keep checking the B&H listing for updates in the next few days)
- Weight: 2.3 kg (half the weight of the F-mount version and slightly heavier than the Nikkor 500mm f/5.6E PF lens)
- The lens is already in serial production
