Both the Nikon D6 and Canon EOS-1D X Mark III DSLR cameras are rumored to be 20MP

Both the Nikon D6 and Canon EOS-1D X Mark III DSLR cameras are rumored to be 20MP - basically no resolution bump compared to the previous D5 and 1D X Mark II models. It is interesting that both companies didn't increase the resolution of their top-of-the-line DSLR cameras - probably in order to make them as fast as the Sony a9 Mark II that already has a 24MP sensor. Pretty much every previous DSLR version did offer a resolution bump.
