Sony FE 35mm f/1.4 GM (SEL35F14GM) lens service notice

Sony issued a service notice about their new FE 35mm f/1.4 GM SEL35F14GM lens (pre-orders are now open at Adorama and B&H) - apparently, some lenses had issues with the ornament plate (this could explain the recent delay):

Sony has recently become aware that the ornament plate for some of the E-mount lens FE 35mm F1.4 GM “SEL35F14GM” for Interchangeable Lens Digital Camera α^TM, may come off. However, this does not affect the optic performance of the lens.

Sony will offer free inspection and free of charge repairs for the affected lenses.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
