The new Sony a7R IIIA and a7R IVA cameras will be open for pre-orders on May 17, shipping will start on June 4th. Her is the US pricing of the new a7 models:

  • Sony a7R IIIA: $2,799.99
  • Sony a7R IVA: $3,499.99

Here is the shortlist of upgrades the new Sony a7R IIIA and a7R IVA cameras got over their predecessors:

  • LCD screen resolution changed from 1.44 million dots to 2,359,296 dots
  • Both cameras are now compatible with USB 3.2 (SuperSpeed USB 5Gbps)
  • No Sony logo under the LCD screen (see above picture)
  • The battery life has also been updated
