Just announced: AstrHori 85mm f/1.8 autofocus lens for Sony E-mount

Last week AstrHori announced two other full-frame mirrorless lenses:

Additional information on the new AstrHori 85mm f/1.8 lens:

  • The AstrHori 85mm F1.8 is designed for full-frame Sony E-mount mirrorless cameras, The lens's medium telephoto focal length is perfect for Portrait. It can also be used with APS-C models where it provides a 127.5mm equivalent focal length.
  • Bright f/1.8 maximum aperture benefits working in difficult lighting conditions and also offers a wealth of control over the focus position when using shallow depth of field techniques. A good quality image is achieved even though the aperture is fully open, which is well-suit for a rich detail of a portrait.
  • Features an STM motor for quick, quiet autofocus performance. After receiving the signal from the camera body, the lens can quickly drive the lens to ensure getting clear images, and in the case of continuous focusing to ensure that the focus point can follow the speed of the moving object.
  • A multi-layer coating has also been applied to suppress flare and ghosting for improved contrast when working in strong lighting conditions. Included lens hood shades the front element from flare-causing stray light and also offers some additional physical protection.
