Canon will soon announce a new EOS M2 mirrorless camera with the following specifications:
- 18MP APS-C sensor
- Hybrid CMOS AF II
- AF speed is about 2.3 times faster then the current EOS-M model
- Servo AF for video
- DIGIC5 image processing engine
- Continuous shooting at 4.6 fps
- ISO sensitivity up to ISO12,800 (ISO25,600 extended )
- 8% reduction of body size compared with current EOS-M model
- Built-in Wi-Fi
- New function: remote operation from smartphone
- Available in black and white
- iMAGE GATAWAY: can transfer photos (wirelessly I assume) to a smartphone, printer, etc.
The current EOS-M model with lens is currently on sale for $299 ($300 off).
