Some Zeiss Loxia/Batis lens rumors:
- One new Loxia lens expected to be announced next year (2016), probably around/for Photokina (see current Loxia product line). Possible focal length: between 85mm-100mm, aperture: f/2.8 or f/2. One possibility is a re-design of the Zeiss 85mm f/2 Sonnar lens (already discontinued).
- Don't expect any ultra-wide Loxia lenses in the future - they are very hard to design. The Zeiss Loxia 21mm f/2.8 is probably as wide as they will go in that product line.
- At least one, but maybe two new Batis lenses in 2016 to fill-up the “holes” in the current lineup (the Batis line currently has only two lenses: 85mm f/1.8 and 25mm f/2).
