Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 Di III RXD lens additional information

Some additional information on the new Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 Di III RXD full frame mirrorless lens for Sony E-mount (US pricing not yet announced):

  • Tamron is trying to compete with the Sony FE 24-70mm f/2.8 GM lens
  • Shipping of the lens will start at end of April and no later than May
  • The lens is based on a new design not related to the EF/Nikon F design
  • Designed to resolve 40+ megapixels
  • Tamron also hinted that more lenses for Sony FE mount could be announced soon
