Zeiss is rumored to announce their new wide angle Otus lens (most likely 24mm f/1.4) in September of this year. Zeiss confirmed back in 2013 that they are working on a wide angle Otus model. Currently Zeiss has two Otus models: Zeiss Otus 85mm f/1.4 Apo Planar T* ($4,490) Zeiss Otus 55mm f/1.4 Distagon T* ($3,990)
The Fuji X-Pro1 camera with two XF lenses (27mm and 35mm) is currently on sale for $949.85 – that’s $900 off (Adorama has a similar deal). There is also a new X-Pro1 kit with the 27mm lens on sale for $799,90. All X-Pro1 deals are valid till August 15th.
I received some information that Ricoh will announce a new Theta camera in the first week of September that will have a new design, a larger sensor, improved image and video (30 fps) quality and will be of course more expensive (the current 360 version sells for around $300).
