Every electric product in Korea needs to acquire approval of RRA before it is released. Well if this screenshot is real, we should soon see the Olympus E-600:
I received a rumor that the current Panasonic LX3 model is being discontinued. This is hard for me to believe, since this camera is a very good seller and is hard to get, but maybe a new model is in the making.
Some details surfaced about the three lenses for the Samsung NX10 that were shown on that misterious trade show in Korea:
According to the source, the Samsung NX10 camera is expected to have AF performance similar to an entry level DSLR. The new expected release date is September – possibly on f the IFA show in Berlin (September 4-9, 2009).
As expected, Panasonic reveled three new consumer cameras today:
No LX4 for now.
The Ricoh GR Digital III rumors were true (still no word on Ricoh’s official site):
“In an interview with Photobusiness.fr, a French online magazine, Luc Saint Elie (manager of new technologies at Panasonic France) hints that the next Panasonic MicroFourThirds cameras could be unveiled in September. He adds that the ‘platform’ could allow manufacturers to come up with radical design such as a spherical camera.”

The buzz around the long waited Ricoh GR Digital III is also starting to pick up. The picture below surfaced recently and it shows the new lens: 6.0mm 1:1.9 (compared to current 5.9mm 1:2.4), the body looks identical to the GRD2:

Rumors are spreading around the Internet that the new Sony DLSRs may have Sony’s Exmor R CMOS Sensor that debuted in the HDR-CX520VE/505VE Handycam line.
The new “Exmor R” CMOS Sensor is twice as sensitive as conventional CMOS sensors thanks to back-illuminated technology that places metal wiring beneath the photo diode instead of above it. Since light is used more efficiently, you can enjoy smoother movement in action sequences and higher image quality in dark conditions such as night scenes.
Two modes are provided for shooting in extremely dark conditions. You can choose the LOW LUX mode when shooting in dim lighting such as candlelight (minimum subject luminance: 3 lux). Or use NightShot in complete darkness, such as to capture wild animals without scaring them away.
Fuji F70 EXR: a new half-inch sensor, 10 megapixel, 27 – 270mm lens. I guess the good news is that sensor size in p&s is to growing.
