New camera bags from Gura Gear and Peak Design

Gura Gear announced a new Mara travel duffel camera bag: “The Mara Travel Duffel is designed to address the problems we’ve encountered traveling the world. They are Lightweight and extremely durable, filled with organizational and design features that take the headache out of packing and loading, and comfortable shoulder straps which make carrying the duffel as a backpack a breeze.”

Peak Design added the popular “Coyote” color line to its global lineup (including the Coyote X-Pac bags). Pre-orders are now open at B&H Photo. Up until now, Coyote X-Pac has only been available in limited edition runs that sold out almost immediately (American-made and featuring an exterior shell derived from 100% recycled fishing nets). Thypoch Simera 50mm f/1.4 ASPH lens for Leica M-mount officially announced

The previously rumored Thypoch Simera 50mm f/1.4 ASPH lens for Leica M-mount is now officially announced. Following the Simera 35mm and 28mm f/1.4 for M/Z/X/E/RF mount, the Simera series will embrace a new focal length of 50mm with a large aperture f/1.4 for M mount. Here are the Thypoch Simera 50mm f/1.4 lens details (check also the official website):

The minimum focusing distance of 0.45m
14-blade aperture to achieve light transmission boasted by T1.5 lens
Crescent-shaped focus tab for fluid focusing experience
Superb optics construction of 6 groups in 8 elements
Declicked and clicked aperture modes to suit specific needs
Rangefinder focus invalidation alert at 0.7m on focus ring
