Panasonic press event in China: new partnership with DJI, LiDAR autofocus, new S lens roadmap

On the previously reported L-mount event at the Photo & Imaging show in Shanghai 2023 Panasonic made several announcements:

Partnership with DJI (DJI was recently accepted as part of the L Mounr Alliance). The presentation materials show a LiDAR autofocus unit attached to a Panasonic camera – this rumor was reported last year:

New Panasonic S lens roadmap with two new entries:

New zoom lens in the 30-70mm range (maybe 28-70mm f/2.8?)

Tamron announces the development of the already leaked new 70-180mm f/2.8 Di III VC VXD G2 lens (pricing was not announced but the previous version is currently listed at $1,099 after a $100 off rebate):

Panasonic China has scheduled an L-mount press conference for August 10

Panasonic China has scheduled an L-mount related press conference for August 10 at 1:00 pm at the P&I show exhibition area (Photo & Imaging Shanghai 2023). We will probably see some new L-mount product announcements. I expect several new products announcement in the next few days (Tamron and maybe even Nikon).
