Panasonic Lumix S mirrorless lenses MTF charts and lens design diagrams
Here are the MTF charts and lens design diagrams for the three new Panasonic Lumix S mirrorless lenses:
Update (via L-Forum) - several readers noticed that Panasonic is fudging the LUMIX S lens MTF charts by using non-uniform X axis. To an uninformed reader, the LUMIX S MTF charts may look flatter when comparing to MTF charts from others who use standard linear axis. Here are the re-adjusted LUMIX S MTF charts to a standard linear axis. Attached are the charts comparing to Panasonic’s and the re-adjusted ones (left is re-adjusted, right is Panasonic’s):

New Hasselblad X1D Mark II camera registered at bluetooth.com
It seems that Hasselblad will be announcing a new X1D Mark II medium format mirrorless camera - the X1D Mark II model name was recently registered at bluetooth.com:
Panasonic has a patent for 18mm f/4 APS-C mirrorless lens (L-mount?)
Panasonic has filed a new patent P2019-15827A for an 18mm f/4 mirrorless lens designed for APS-C based cameras. Could it be that Panasonic is working on a new mirrorless camera with L-mount?
Leica already has two APS-C L-mount mirrorless cameras (Leica TL2 and Leica CL) and a few lenses.
In an interview with Dpreview a few months ago Sigma confirmed their plans to develop APS-C lenses for L-mount, while Panasonic said that they will not make APS-C lenses for L-mount:
Canon to accelerate development of new mirrorless products (2018 financial results are out)
Canon's 2018 financial results are out:
- Canon expects its annual operating profit to drop for the first time in three years
- Canon forecasts an operating profit of 325 billion yen ($2.97 billion) for 2019, down 5.2 percent from 342.95 billion yen a year earlier - the first decline since 2016
- Tough competition in mirrorless interchangeable lens cameras and a stronger yen are also expected to hurt Canon’s earnings.
- Canon shares have lost about 30 percent over the past year as the company slashed its annual profit forecast twice (Reuters)
Here are the slides related to the company's camera business (above slide indicates accelerated development of new mirrorless products):
