Together with the Laowa Zero-D 12mm f/2.8 distortion-free lens that will be announced on Kickstarter on July 30th, Venus Optics will also introduce a new lens converter called The Magic Shift adapter – it is basically a Sony E shift adapter with lenses inside designed for the Sony a7 camera line. It enlarges the full frame image circle of the lens for shifting by +/- 10mm. It is made for the 12mm f/2.8 lens and convert it to 17mm f/4 +/- 10mm. You will be also able to use it with other lenses, but the performance may not be optimal as the adapter is specifically designed for the 12mm f/2.8 Zero-D lens.

The new Laowa Zero-D 12mm f/2.8 distortion-free lens I reported about back in February will be officially announced on July 30th at 7 pm EST. The retail price will be USD 949, early birds will be able to get discounts. There are several better photos of the actual lens on flickr (credit: Daniel Han):
Update: the Nikon version of the lens can be seen here.
