After Nikon DSLR sales in Japan fall almost to Pentax level, Nikkei reported today that Nikon will no longer develop DSLR cameras and Canon will also stop producing DSLRs within a few years:
In just a month (January 8 –February 10) the amount of available Canon EF DSLR lenses in Japan went from 21 to 9 (yes, DSLR cameras are dead – Canon has been slowly discontinuing popular DSLR lenses):
