Ricoh to release Micro Four Thirds module for GXR ?

Johan Ericsson (in English) got his hands on an internal Ricoh document describing a MicroFourThirds module for the Ricoh GXR system:

Ricoh to release Micro Four Thirds module for GXR ?

Of course this could be one of the many prototypes that Ricoh produced in the past just to illustrate the capabilities of the system.

so now we have 3 items for 1 system… interesting ! knowing that the module will need some several hardware improvements to match upcoming systems, is it really worth it ? I would like to see true inovations as a 24mmx24mm sensor that uses FF lenses, a panoramic sensor etc…

This is well nice. be good if they make 4/3rds lenses. Used to have an FF9 compact camera i found and the lens had great colour and contrast.

While the pic maybe a fake there is a point. Ricoh have made SLR’s before. There is no reason why, with such a versatile system as the GXR, they couldn’t do again.
There is bound to be at least one Ricoh executive that has suggested it.
